Help, answers and how to reach us
Every board is split into coloured regions. Place one witch in each region so that no row and no column holds two witches, and no two witches touch — not even diagonally.
Look for the smallest colour on the board — it is usually only one to three squares. Because that region must hold a witch, the rest of its row or column can be crossed out straight away. Every level is built so that this opening exists.
Two buttons help when you are stuck, and both use the same hint balance. Everyone starts with ten.
When you run out, the game offers a short rewarded video worth two hints. You can also buy a pack of 10, 50, 100 or 500 hints in the shop.
The shop has a one-time Remove Ads purchase. It permanently removes the full-screen ads shown between levels, on the Apple ID that bought it. There is no banner ad in Witchdoku at all. Optional rewarded videos stay available, so you can still watch one for extra hints if you want to — they never play unless you tap them.
This normally means the app is running on a different Apple ID, or the app was reinstalled. Open the shop and tap Restore Purchases — your purchase will come back at no extra charge. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
The reward is only granted when the video finishes. If the ad was closed early, or no ad was available at that moment, the game says so and nothing is deducted — just try again shortly.
Levels grow from 5x5 up to 9x9, and new ones keep being added. Every one of them has exactly one solution and can be solved by pure logic — no level ever requires a guess. Finish a level without losing a pumpkin to earn all three stars.
Progress is saved on your device, so uninstalling the app erases it. The game is available in 21 languages; it picks your device language automatically, and you can change it any time from the globe button on the home screen.
Still stuck, or found a puzzle that seems wrong? Please tell us which level number and we will look at it.
